Eligibility
- Post-wise B.E./B.Tech. or 3-year Diploma in relevant engineering discipline.
- Some posts require 2 years' experience with diploma qualification.
- Scientific Assistant (IMD): degree in Physics/Computer Science/Electronics as per notification.
- Check organisation-wise essential qualification in Annexure before applying.
Selection Process
- Paper-I: Computer Based Test (October/November 2026).
- Paper-II: Computer Based Test (December 2026).
- Document verification.
- Two-year probation with prescribed training.

Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) at https://ssc.gov.in — old ssc.nic.in OTR not valid.
Log in to candidate portal and select Junior Engineer Examination 2026.
Fill personal, educational details; select post preferences and exam centres.
Upload live photograph and signature as per SSC specifications.
Pay application fee online (Rs. 100 for UR/OBC/EWS male; others exempt).
Submit before 22.09.2026 (23:00 hours). Download confirmation page.
