Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India has released the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-II, July 2026 notification for 23,757 vacancies across postal circles.
Posts include Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. Selection is merit-based on Class 10 marks. One-Time Registration begins 31 August 2026; online applications open 2 September 2026.

Eligibility
- Passed Class 10 with Mathematics and English from a recognized board.
- Knowledge of local language of the postal circle applied for.
- Basic computer knowledge and cycling ability required.
- Must reside within the jurisdiction of the concerned Branch Post Office.
Selection Process
- System-generated merit list based on Class 10 marks (to four decimal places).
- Physical document verification.
- Medical examination and pre-engagement formalities.

Visit India Post GDS Online Engagement portal: https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in
Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) using mobile number and email ID.
Fill application with Class 10 details and select postal circle/division preferences.
Upload photograph and signature in prescribed format.
Pay application fee Rs. 100 (UR/OBC/EWS male); SC/ST/PwBD/female/transwomen exempted.
Submit before 21.09.2026 (17:00 hours) and save printout.
