General instructions ( सामान्य निर्देश ) : a) The applicant must be a citizen of India. b) All applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on the last date of submission of online applications i.e. 9 th January, 2017. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down for various posts as on the last date of receipt of the application. According to Article.315 of the Constitution of India, there shall be a Public Service Commission for each State. Which the formation of the State of Meghalaya in 1971, the Meghalaya Public Service Commission came into existence on September 14th 1972.
The first Office of the Commission was housed in the building of the Public works Department of Lower Lachumiere, Shillong -793001.
